Expect The Expected

The first stage in the shoot process is to get in touch with us, either by >THIS FORM< or eMailing us Directly. Please tell us your name, an eMail address or phone number that we can contact you on, and a brief description of what you are looking to achieve.   We will then get back to you and arrange our first Consultation.

At OpticForge Photographics we go the extra mile to make sure you get the best results with us, from the initial consultation to the final delivery of your pictures. At all stages you will be guided through the journey so you will know exactly what is going on at all times.

Initial Consultation

This is where we meet to talk about the details of your project, usually in the comfort of a warm coffee shop or anywhere else you’d prefer. We will discuss your aims and goals and explore any avenues of thought that may crop up.   Once we have a full understanding of what you require, we will begin the planning stage. A timescale will be drafted as will a rough deadline. You will also be made aware of our total fee for the job, of which our rates can be found > HERE <

Collaborative Planning

Your selected shots will be colour corrected, retouched and polished. The level of retouching to be applied would have been previously agreed upon during the planning phase. For more information please go to our page on Digital Retouching >Here< 

Once planning is complete, we agree on a date and venue for the shoot, and a contact is drawn up for you to read through.   You will need to sign and bring this with you to the shoot.   You will also be invoiced for the >Fee< which will need to be paid before the shoot.

Finalisation And Agreements

In this final step of your shoot, we will send you the finished pictures in whichever format you require, eg DVD, USB drive, etc.   If you requested prints these will also be carefully packaged and sent to the address given at the time of order.

Shot Selection

After the shoot the shots will be uploaded to a private area on our site for you to browse at your convenience and select your favourites to be retouched, the number of which you are allowed to select depending on the >Package< you chose.

In this phase we will be in close contact with you, exchanging ideas and glossing over the fine details.   We create sketches and pictorial boards so you get an idea of the final look, and once you are happy with them then we start selecting the best personnel suited for your project, such as set designers and makeup artists (if needed).

Once retouched, the pictures are uploaded into your private client area for your evaluation.   Any issues can be raised at this stage and they will be reworked until you are completely satisfied with the results.

This is where the fun begins.   We first start with a warm up where we go through basic poses and postures with you. You are then taken into the very expert hands of our hair and makeup artists who will create your look, and a wardrobe stylist (if requested) to select and accessorise various outfit combinations. The rest of the time is spent making you feel FANtastic :)
